As Commercial Manager you will advise and support the organization and Project Management/Area Commercial Manager on commercial risks, costs and pursuit of entitlements on projects. Main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Review of pre-tender documentation, provide reports on same and highlight commercial risks
- Preparation and agreement of Sub-Contracts
- Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and of cost reports
- Highlighting areas of costs which differ from budget and report on same
- Liaising with Project Manager regarding management of costs and of risks
- Serving notice of variations, submitting measurements and agreeing same
- Administration of subcontracts
- Serving notice of extension of time
- Compiling extension of time claims
- Preparation and agreement of final account and claims
- Assisting and reporting to Area Commercial Manager
As a Commercial Manager you are required to have the following qualifications:
- University degree or RICS qualification in quantity surveying
- At least 10 years experience which must include working for contractor and on civil works
- Technical knowledge of marine civil works
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Eager to work outside Europe
- Flexibility to adapt to very diverse site circumstances
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
