AfdelingThe PACCAR Purchasing Europe department is responsible for the purchase of all goods and services within Europe and cooperates closely with the corporate purchasing department in the USA.
The Purchasing department occupies an important role within DAF Trucks. Correctly managing relationships with our suppliers is essential for our continuing success as a truck manufacturer. The strategic necessity for cost reduction must in part be achieved via the purchasing process. As a Commodity Unit Manager you will have a central role in this process.FunctieomschrijvingAs a Commodity Unit Manager you are both responsible for your own purchasing package and for managing and coaching 4 buyers.
Your responsibilities are: - making market analyses, judging and selecting suppliers; - negotiation and closing deals tot the lowest possible total costs; - managing and monitoring supplier relations; - implement the supply management strategy. To achieve these results you cooperate with all the departments who are involved in the purchasing process.FunctieprofielFor this challenging position we are looking for candidates who have a master degree and are interested in the automotive sector. You have several years experience in logistic and purchasing processes. You possess a strong commercial attitude and good communication skills in Dutch, English and German.
